This section has a couple of lists with cartoons, mostly intended for an adult audience.

You probably know these series. Except for Family Guy, I don't really care for these shows anymore, but just to be thorough:
A programming block on American television with awesome shows. Not the best animated material, but they make up for it with violence, gore, brutality or just insane stories and character design.
A couple of shows are CGI or stop-motion:

I don't know why and when it went wrong exactly, but MTV actually used to be a cool alternative channel, with informative pieces, experimental programming and work from independent artists like Bill Plympton. I guess something like that just couldn't survive the 90s. Anyway, check out these shows.
These shows are for kids, supposedly. But some of them are not really kid material. For example, Gravity Falls is a pretty dark show with all the Illuminati and occult symbols you could ever want. Regular Show is basically about two stoners having surreal adventures. Ren and Stimpy deal with death, mental illness, defecating on property, you name it.
The runner-ups, not the same quality as many of the above. A lot of them only run for one or two seasons, which doesn't necessarily mean it sucks, but does mean the show couldn't survive for some reason. Plus, I needed a section to put all the shows that were left after categorization. ;)
